Recently when I was at the Virtuoso Conference, a speaker was discussing luxury travel. The quote that stuck with me was, “Luxury experiences matter more than luxury goods.” And that is so true – and it doesn’t have to be just luxury travel – it is the time we spend with our loved ones doing those things that make the memories that we talk about for years.
When you look back at your photos and smile. When you are watching a movie, set in Istanbul, and you say to your husband,
“Remember that guide who took us to the spice market and that wonderful lunch we had afterwards.” When you sit around the family dinners and it gets to the funny travel stories in China. And even though we’ve told them twenty times everyone still laughs because it becomes our family memories.
